AC Car &
Commercial Services was founded in May 1989 by Angelo Carofano and
began trading from a rented barn on Willow Farm, Ravensden. In 1991
Angelo moved to Unit 4E Aston Road, Bedford and in 2000 a Class IV,
V and VII MOT station was opened. Over the following years the
business expanded to such an extent that one workshop was no longer
sufficient so in 2004 Unit 4D Aston Road, Bedford was purchased and
the business still trades from these two units today.
As the
business has grown, so too has the family involvement. Angelo’s
wife, Angela, has always looked after the accounting side. In July
2006 their son, Giovanni, left behind a successful career as a bank
manager to join the firm, with a view to ultimately take over when
Angelo finally decides to hang up his overalls. Giovanni’s wife,
Jessica, also now works closely with Angela in the accounts
department.
All this
provides the basis for AC Car & Commercial’s customer charter:-
“We aim to
provide a competitively priced “one stop” vehicle maintenance and
repair service, with the experience and expertise to rival much
larger companies but with the customer care and service that only a
family business is able to provide.”
